OpenWorker: The Open-Source AI Agent for Task Automation
Andrew Ng announces OpenWorker, an open-source AI agent designed to go beyond simple conversation and perform concrete tasks. This agent is capable of producing documents, sending Slack messages, or managing calendars, acting as a true "AI colleague" to automate work.
The particularity of OpenWorker lies in its local operation on the user's machine (Mac, Windows soon), ensuring data confidentiality. It offers independence from AI models, allowing users to choose their own API key and use various proprietary LLMs (GPT, Claude, Gemini) or open-source models (Kimi, GLM) via Ollama, without technological lock-in. The goal is to provide an open, privacy-respecting, and model-agnostic option for work automation.
