The day is dominated by two seemingly unrelated dynamics: on one hand, a massive movement in cloud and AI infrastructure security, with a fundraising round that stands out for its size; on the other, a discreet pre-seed round in fashion, driven by founders who honed their skills in the sector before creating their own tool. No forced common thread — two distinct logics, two different moments in the cycle.
No M&A deals to report today.

Artiso AI: A Mango team builds the operating system for fashion

Artiso AI is a Barcelona-based startup founded in 2025 by three former Mango executives — Sarah Iglesias Hiller (CEO), Lucas Pastur Romay (CPO), and Matthias Brenninkmeijer (CTO), who have worked together since 2022. The company has developed what it describes as an AI-powered operating system for the fashion industry: a platform that allows creative and operational teams to manage and combine their workflows, integrating brand archives, best sellers, and team decisions to produce images, sketches, and technical sheets with brand consistency. It already works with organizations in Europe, North America, and Asia, and identifies the United States as a priority market. Artiso AI raises over 3 million euros in a pre-seed round led by Criteria Venture Tech, with participation from Swanlaab Venture Factory, Bynd Venture Capital, Cyberclick co-founder David Tomás, and Ganni founder Nicolaj Reffstrup. The funds will finance product development, new customer acquisition, and recruitment for fashion and technology profiles.
What gives this fundraising round its significance is less its amount than the composition of the round: Nicolaj Reffstrup, founder of Ganni, is not there as a financial investor — he is there as sectoral validation. A brand that has built its reputation on a strong and consistent visual identity implicitly validates Artiso's central thesis: AI does not replace a fashion house's taste; it can become its operational guardian. For mid-sized European fashion brands, which have neither the teams nor the budgets to develop their own tools, this is exactly the problem this platform claims to solve.

Upwind Security: When cloud security raises as much as a mature unicorn
Upwind Security: When cloud security raises as much as a mature unicorn
Source: thecyberwire.com → · Sector Cybersecurity — 📬 subscribe to the Cybersecurity newsletter
Upwind Security is a San Francisco-based cybersecurity company that protects cloud infrastructures and AI environments — in short, it secures what companies deploy on the cloud, at a time when these deployments are becoming both more complex and more critical. The company announces a $400 million Series C funding round, led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from Greylock Partners, Cyberstarts, Craft, Salesforce Ventures, Alta Park, Picture Capital, Swish Ventures, Cerca Partners, TCV, Penny Jar, Leaders Fund, and Canapi Ventures. The funds are intended to expand the platform's application capabilities, strengthen teams, and accelerate commercial deployment in Europe and beyond.
The obvious takeaway: AI multiplies attack surfaces, companies are looking to secure increasingly dynamic environments, and capital follows fear.
What is striking is less the amount than the list of investors: twelve distinct funds in the round, including names as diverse as Salesforce Ventures (an industrial player with a direct client portfolio), Bessemer (a historical cloud specialist), and Canapi (focused on financial services). Such a broad syndicate at this stage rarely signals shared conviction — it rather signals a race not to be missed. For a French executive or CISO, the concrete question is this: a cloud security platform that raises at this scale will establish itself in Europe with considerable resources; local players in the sector have little time to consolidate their position before American distribution sets in.
